Chillin on the patio

Yesterday Jerry had a great day, four of his close friends came to visit. Jerry was able to get in his wheelchair and sit outside on the patio in the sun. It was such a blessing to see him smile as his friends sat around him and visited with him, my heart was full of joy at that moment. I'm learning even in the face of tragedy there can be joy. Thank you to Josh Speers (Jerry's friend) for capturing the moment. Praise God for this blessing.

I' am just now finally checking Jerry's blog, since last night. And I' am in complete awe of answered prayer for Jerry's restful night, last night. And what a full day you all had Sunday!
I pray for Jerry to feel Gods Love & protection this night. For God to continue to heal Jerry and keep him safe. And also . . . he passes that swallowing test with flying colors! So he may begin eating again!
Dennis & Katie, my heart goes out to you. In time you will get the much needed rest. Meanwhile sleep at every opportunity. Let people help you with everyday task's. I will be at the meeting tomorrow.
With Love,

What a tough son-of-a-gun,
..is that a SMILE????
Jerry, ..you are loving the Lord right back! ..and that is a very wonderful thing to do!
We'll pass your "champion ride" smile, all around here in Antioch, ..and we want to cheer for you on each and every lap!
"You're the man" for this race, Jerry, ..God knows you're a great choice to go the distance!!
-----------
Yes, God knows,
..and we're all so happy,
that you do too!

"Now get some rest!
..more laps tomorrow!!" .. :)

Great smile! Glad his visit with friends was uplifing. It was uplifing for his friends too. They will be back to visit many many times. Jerry is an inspiration.
Maybe this week he can have some Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream!
Continuing to pray for miracles, and for Dennis & Katie for continued strength.

Praying for a GREAT day today!!

Lord, be with Jerry, the family and the hospital staff today...guide and direct each decision, each test, each communication. Give Jerry good rest, good food, good friends, and good spirits to fill this day with love, hope, peace, confidence, and laughter. I pray that today will hold evidence of your love and healing for all involved.

I love you guys!

I cant tell you how nice it is to see a picture of Jerry! We've been praying for him (and your family) and keeping in touch with his latest and greatest through the blog. But this makes it all the more tangible, to see a picture of him. Thanks for posting. We will continue to pray and have big faith and you continue to be strong and courageous. You are already an inspiration and I look forward to following your story.
