A Note from Dennis

As I sit here reading these truly amazing posts, I feel a comfort around my family. Jerry is resting comfortably, my wife is resting, and the rest of my family is well taken care of. I owe this to all of you. It is something I can only hope in my lifetime to repay. I truly cannot express in words what this means to myself and my family. As I get ready to lay down my head tonight, I think of a few versus that have helped me in the past.

Phil 4:6
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"

And

Math 6:34
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble."

With Gods love and the love of all of you, I can truly rest tonight.
Thank you all, each and every one of you,and God bless.
Dennis, Katie and all of the MacCallister family

My heart and prayers go out to you all. Shane called late sat. night about 11:30 and asked me to pray for Jerry. Knowing I'm faithful only to a few things but thankful prayer being 1 of them I fell to my knees. I then sent a prayer call out to any and all that would do the same. Dennis, bud & sandui bandfield in Colorado having been trying to call since I told of the situation and I will pass on this blog so that they can send you all their love, prayer and encouragement. A miracle is what I have been praying for and I will boldly go to the throne asking for such. In everything else I ask GOD absolutely drown ALL of you in his strength hope & courage. Sleep & food as well. Our valley is a small town and so many I know are praying for the 6 of you. Just know that as you all surround him in his room there is really 7 and that is HIS perfect #.

Jerry and Family
My thoughtsa and prayers go out to the MacCallister Family. When I recieved the news i was in complete shock. Jerry and the MacCallister family have been some of my closest friends since the 4th grade. I know that Jerry will fight through this. I have been praying for Jerry and his family and i know that GOD will answer the prayers we send out. I got a tatoo yesterday with a bible verse that i think relates directly to Jerry..... Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Stay Strong and keep praying with GOD on your side anything can happen. Keep faith and don't gice up hope. Love Justin ROSE

Please share this prayer to St. Joseph with everyone.

This prayer was found in the fiftieth year after Jesus was born. Read this prayer for Jerry for nine mornings. My husband and I said this prayer for a friend who broke his back in a motorcycle accident. We didn't think he was going to pull through, but now, after two years, he is walking without a cane and continues running his own business as a machinest and marine repairman.

I have faith in this prayer.

Praise God for two successful surgeries. We continue to pray for you all. We are so glad to hear that Jerry is able to talk with you all and have a bit of a sense of humor. Laughter is good medicine for sure!!!

As I read the comments to your family it has been so touching to see the family of God at work. Tears come to my eyes each time. What an impact Jerry is making on our lives.

Love, Jerry and Cay Ellen

Here's hoping for the very best. I have been getting all my updates on this situation from Jessica, and she just now told me about this site. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know of lots of people who want to visit Jerry and wish him well, but I don't know when a good time to do this would be. It's not surprising that Jerry has so many people that care about him.

Dennis, Katie, Josh, Jenae, Jerry and Jessie,

I have been sitting here following the updates. I cannot imagine the emotions that flood through you. I have passed on the blog and prayer request to everyone I know via email. My Sister Kathy from Colorado has been very touched by your situation. She remembers a visit with us and the little red headed boy whose foot she pulled thorns from. She has sent out your needs to everyone at her church and the Bible Study Fellowship Group she leads. Please remember that you are never alone. Years ago, I went through a very difficult time in my life and a very dear friend of mine, sort of a mentor gave me this verse. It has comforted and sustained me through many hard times.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

God Bless your entire family and the many extended friends and family who are by your side during this time.

Please accept my sincere feelings of love and small effort to support you during this time.

Our prayers and hope for Jerrys full recovery go out to you. Knowing your family and how strong you all are, we believe ,with god and everyone who loves Jerry so much he can make it through this.
We will also pray for the comfort of his family, and that god will bless you with an inner peace. Please let us know if there is anything we can do, and also if a proper time to visit comes in the near future. We send our love.

Just another quick note to let you know that your family hasn't been far from my thoughts. As I sat in church on Sun. all I could think about was your family. I don't even know you and yet all I could do was pray for your comfort & healing. I promise that I will continue to pray for you family.

May God's love engulf you with a power and passion that you have never known. May His love and comfort surround you and allow you to peacefully move forward - knowing that He will provide all the answers in due time.

It is hard but try and rest, grab a bite to eat and never forget how much you are loved - by yes - even complete strangers.

Dear Jerry and MacCallister Family,
We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Laura and Jessie are so VERY anxious to visit you Jerry when it is o.k. to, which they, of course hope is very soon. Know that all your friends and their families are all praying for you and yours. Even if we don't know you personally, many of us parents watched you all grow up, so count me as one of those classroom moms that will keep you in my daily prayers.
Sincerely,

dear friends.

Pherf & I (Melinda the girlfriend. wink.), as well as many of our friends and family are praying for you all and especially Jerry, that God's merciful healing hand would be upon him. We too are spreading the word to pray and are confident that God is in this situation.

I know you have many surrounding you guys, but like Pherf said on the phone if you need anything we are there with in seconds. And if you need him to walk around flashing his badge to get things done...He is on it, i will stand by looking professional to make sure they know we are for real!

We have been praying since Friday when we found out, and have not stopped.

Point is know that you are all LOVED and being held in prayers by those close and those who only know you by name.

Love.

From Am Cyn, CA
Dear MacCallister family:

I praise GOD that you have HIS arms to fall into during this time of stress & fear & worry.

I also thank each and every one of the body of Christ who has taken the time to pray for & send messages of support & love to all y'all.

Jerry, be strong in your faith! Know in your heart of hearts that GOD is with you & is in control! HE will give you the strength to deal with all that is happening.

Our church prayer warriors meet tomorrow night; we will claim the healing that your body requires will be complete.

Katie & Dennis, take care of yourselves! You need your bodies & minds rested & fed in order to keep the family going.

Thank you for sharing this time of trial & for the example of how a GOD fearing family trusts in GOD.

Thank you for allowing total strangers the opportunity to lift you in prayer!

God Bless you all!

Dear Dennis, Katie, family and especially Jerry,
I know what it feels like to be at the lowest dregs of life, DO NOT LOSE HOPE!!! Pray and remember we are all doing the same for you!!! All of the students I have taught have become my children and I follow them through life the best I can. I can remember Jerry's determination to get that 4 year presidential award in PE and I admired his determination. You all remember that determination and Jerry, keep fighting, it will be worth it no matter what happens. You are an amazing individual!
Love and prayers,

Dennis and Katie,
It was wonderful seeing you tonight and being able to give you and your family each a BIG hug. There is no doubt in my mind that GOD's presence was felt around Jerry and your amazing family. May God continue to keep you in the palm of his hand, comfort you and heal Jerry.

Wow, Dennis -
Your faith astounds me. Brother, you have courage and strength that is from on high. Know that I have all my students at my (Christian) school and all the teachers praying for you, Katie and Jerry by name. Our church (about 150) prayed for you on Sunday and I'm continuing to pray with other groups we are a part of (youth group, etc.). Prayer works. And I especially love the kind where God's heart matches our desires.

I am especially praying Psalm 20:4-5 for you. It was orginially written for a King of Israel . . . I consider you a king right now even though you probably don't feel like it. Here's what it says:
4 May he grant your heart's desires
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory
and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the Lord answer all your prayers.

May you, Katie, the kids and especially Jerry sense that presence of our Lord in this time.

O God, bless these brothers & sisters with You. All of you. May your Holy Touch be upon Jerry in this time and bring complete healing to him. Lord, we trust Your will, but we have our desires and our heart beats to have what we want as well. Grant Dennis and Katie their heart's desire and continue to give them the tangible, practical needs they have from rest to food to thoughts that are what they need. You are Lord. You are God. Hear their prayer. Please answer Yes!

His,
wes.

Dear Katie, Dennis and Family
I'm Kyle Unger's Aunt Renati and It was Mi (Kyle's Mom) who wrote to me about Jerry's unfortunate accident. My heart goes out to you all - each and everyone of you. I so believe in the Power of Prayer and the Universal Healing Energy that can be generated by our collective thoughts. Believe in that Katie and Dennis, and it will manifest. And if I could communicate with Jerry I would want him to believe in the power of his thoughts - in the power of his ability to help in his healing process. Go Jerry!! With love and light. Renati Mannan, Carmel.
