Jerry dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but a tragic accident left him a quadriplegic who has slowly regained limited use of his arms. Jerry's dreams have changed, he now dreams of having what he lost, the ability to walk, feed himself, scratch his own itches and not depend on someone for his every need. A stem cell therapy that involves harvesting stem cells from umbilical cord may help him make more of a recovery, but the treatment is not available in the United States. It also isn’t covered by insurance.
