Wednesday Morning - Jan 21

Jerry got about 8 hours of broken sleep last night but he's still pretty tired, he slept through the majority of his sponge bath this morning. Jerry is supposed to be up eating his breakfast but I'm letting him sleep another 45 minutes, he'll just have to slam breakfast before PT. I'm hoping a little extra sleep will help him through the day he has a very busy schedule. For those who may have been considering a visit today it may be better to wait until tomorrow. Jerry will be in Physical Therapy (PT) from 9:00 - 11:00, Occupational Therapy (OT) 11:00 - 12:00, lunch 12:00 - 1:00, skills group 1:30 - 2:00 and excercise group 2:30 - 3:00. Jerry will get back in bed about 3:30 to rest, he'll have dinner at 5:00 and then back in the chair at 6:00 for a field trip to the movies. Whew, makes me tired just thinking about it. If all goes well today Jerry will likely have about 9 hours in his chair. Please pray that Jerry will have minimal pain, much endurance and energy abundant. I'll post the days events after the movie tonight, it will probably be around 11:00pm.

Have a great day!
Katie

Praying that it will be a positive day. Know prayers and positive thoughts are with you everyday. I have come to the conclusion, Jerry, that there is someone, somewhere praying for you every moment of each day. You are a fighter. I believe that you will conquer this with all my heart. I believe that God has a plan for you. I believe that all you are enduring will be a wealth of experience when God reveals his plan for you.

STAY STRONG

“We are often hindered from giving up our treasures to the Lord out of fear for their safety. This is especially true when those treasures are loved relatives and friends. But we need have no such fears. Our Lord came not to destroy, but to save. Everything is safe which we commit to Him, and nothing is really safe which is not.” ~A. W. Tozer

Jerry, After hearing of your day, I feel like a slacker. May God continue to give you strength. I hope you enjoyed the movie.

Gracious Lord, please give Jerry the strenght today to get through this hectic schedule and his parents and caregivers the insight to know when Jerry has reached his limits. Let him have the energy to stay up for the movie and eat popcorn in his chair.
Jerry, we will visit you whenever you are up to it and remember, you are not alone and we will be there for you.
Praying hard and hoping that the cloudy weather doesn't get you down.(-:

Hi Jerry! You hang in there buddy. I'm sooooo happy to hear about your progress I pray for you every night and day. I just saw "the MacCallister family" section and boy did it bring back memories of how your mom was freaking out that she didn't have a family photo to send out for Christmas so she so cleverly photo shopped you and Josh in. Maybe all of you guys were, I can't remember but Omg did we laugh over that one. Anyhow you take care and I'll see you soon
