Update on Allie

The following is an update on Allie's condition posted by Josephine, thanks for the update. Josephine can you call me I'd like to get Marguerite's phone number and maybe help her organize the form to be available by email so people who don't live local who may want to assist will have the option.

I just got word from Marguerite Christensen about Allie. She had surgery to put the tracheotomy in her trachea so it's out of her mouth (she will be able to talk a little). She's still in critical condition & unfortunately, it looks like she fractured her C1, C2 & C3 spinal chord (but not 100% positive about this). It's so hard knowing, from your family's experience, that they are going to have to go through all of the hardships that you've been through these past months.
Can you please pass this info on? --- If anyone would like to help Allie's family, Marguerite set up a hotel plan to help cover the cost of their hotel stay near the hospital. Go to the Mountain Roasting Coffee Shop in Felton (near Safeway). Pick up a form, fill it out with your credit card info & before faxing it in, call Marguerite to set up the date (so they're not overlapping). It's $72 a night.
We live in such a small community but we've had so many hardships happening to our young. PLEASE let this be a reminder to all of us to "HUG YOUR KIDS" or at the very least, remind them, constantly, that YOU LOVE THEM!!!!!
And KEEP PRAYING for both Jerry & Allie.....

Happy Easter Jerry and family. It's good advice to hug your kids and tell them you love them everyday. I'm sure your kids feel your love everyday. They're are all special and loved by many far and wide.

Good Morning and Happy Easter Macs!

Held you and the Pominowskis in our prayers this morning as we watched the sun rise over the cloud layer on top of the mountains. We sat together, leaning - three-way - against each other, supporting each other. I thought about you and how that is what you all do everyday for each other.

Mary and I had a great time visiting the other day. We're still laughing at the antics of Rico and Tina. Jerry, your smile is so beautiful!!! If you were nauseous, you put an a brave face, because I couldn't tell. We'll be saying extra prayers for you come Tuesday, that the new xrays will reveal healing the docs didn't think would happen, that you'll be able to go without your neck brace and begin strengthening your neck muscles for further mobility and that your nausea dissipates and doesn't come back.

Dennis, Jerry's room looks great! The plans are impressive, what with the track for the lift in the ceiling. Wow! What's the saying about necessity being the mother of invention - well, you must be the father inventor.

Katie and Jenae, it was really nice visiting with you, too. The pictures of Lehigh and Josh's experiences were good to see and hear about. It's nice to have someone who's already 'been there done that' to bounce ideas off of.

Congrats, Cougar softball team. Boy, Jess, I read about your tourney in the Sentinel and it sounded exciting! There's nothing like high school softball!!!

Blessing to you this Easter Sunday and may the gracious face of our Lord shine upon you today in many special ways.

Love to you all,
The Proffitts

Cute kittehs! Jerry's lap will be their favorite spot!
As always praying for Jerry and family, now, sadly, Allie and her family.
I am glad Laura F. is back working at the camp and can easily pop in to visit Jerry.

Allie has not left mine and my families thoughts and prayers. She is such a trooper and she WILL pull thorough this with God right by her side.

Is there anyway we could set up a prayer meeting for her? Or send a care package to the family/Allie?

Please keep me posted.

We all love you so much Allie.
