Monday - March 23

Wow, we've reached over 50,000 hits for Jerry's blog, I like to think of it as 50,000 prayers. Thank you all for faithfully following Jerry's progress, thank you for continued prayer for Jerry's recovery.

Today was a little disappointing, we arrived at SCI-FIT on time however some unforeseen circumstances prevented us from starting on time, we were 40 minutes late. It's to expensive and to long of a drive to miss out on 40 minutes of the workout. Jerry was put in the standing frame however upon going up he was not able to tolerate it and had to come back down. I have to remind myself that things are not always going to go as planned, just go with the flow and when unforeseen circumstances come up they'll be easier to handle.

Jerry is still struggling with the nausea and I'm struggling with not being able to get a handle on it. What is the cause and how do we fix it? It's perplexing and I feel so helpless, everything we have tried to remedy it has not helped. Poor Jerry has so much to deal with, I wish we could take this one of his plate. Please continue to pray for deliverance from the nausea.

Tomorrow's another day and we start over fresh. It will be a better day....

Good night,
Katie

I'm no doctor, but maybe the nausea has nothing to do with medication. Maybe it's his nerves in his body working on recovery. I don't know this, but it's a possibility...maybe. I will definitely be prayng for the nausea, though.

Well, I know that I am posting only about 1x a week, but praying at least 2x a day for Jerry... so with that average, 50,000 hits = 700,000 prayers (is my math right?) Anyways, Katie know that prayers are rising for you all in miraculous numbers.

And tonight, nausea is the main topic!

Love to all,
L

Maybe it is not the regular nausea maybe he has a bug, or could it be something he is eating that maybe he can't tolerate like before. You might want to keep track of what he is eating before or around the time he gets the nausea. We will pray it goes away.

Shucks Jer, I'm bummed for you with the nausea back. Like your mom, I wish we could take that one from you. We'll keep praying for you - we never stop.

Love to you and your family.

hi dennis & katie. i was reading a book a few weeks ago about a guy who suffered HORRIFIC injuries in a car crash and was bed ridden for over a year to recoup and how it took him a long time even once he was able to get back up to standing again because the longer you're laying flat or sitting your body's equalibrium adjusts to that so when you try standing again your body gets dizzy/sick because your body had adjusted to something different. the more he gets up and around in different therapy programs i'm sure this will go away. i am praying hard for God to hard wire his equalibrium to the standing position!

Hi
Like Heather I was thinking that maybe some of the nausea was caused by excitment/nerves. Also, there is a nasty bug going around. It has been knocking my students out for a week at a time.
We will keep praying for you.

Hey guys I'm beginning to think maybe a nervous stomach like Heather mentioned.
Remember when you gave him a dose of medicine and he was feeling pretty good joking around with Philip and all? I think he felt more relaxed and the nausea went away. Maybe try talking to the professionals about this and see what your options are. He is dealing with ALOT here and I'm wondering if it is affecting his nerves and stomach. Also the equalibrium makes sence too. Maybe it's a combination. We'll keep up the prayers and maybe the answers will come. Love you guys.

Hey Jer, we've had a super busy day with part of the class doing play practice - the Lion King - some out for cello, violin or marimba, snack, recess and now work time. Everybody is working really hard, today. Chris dropped me off at work and came in to tell the kids about hanging out with you last night. I showed the 5/6th graders the PSI fit video from last week and they were stoked and head to head back to class. The 3/4th are always asking about you. Hope you have a great day! I am ususally here on Fridays but, not this week. Anyway, love ya lots! Trish

Keep up the good work and take it one day at a time. I just finished listening to Christopher Reeve's audiobook "Nothing Is Impossible" and want to visit you and drop it off. Sobering but hopeful, and HOPE is the key to everything.
