Thursday, May 21

Sorry it has been awhile since we have posted, it has been a really busy week. Things have been well with Jerry, but mom has caught a nasty cold. Too much weekend I guess, so I thought I would give a little update. Thanks to a few people, a lift system for Jerry's room is on it's way from Pennsylvania. It should be arriving sometime early next week and will be much appreciated. With this lift, we will be able to get Jerry in and out of bed and around the house with little trouble, and it will help us get him into a bath tub with ease, something Jerry is looking forward to. The small thing we take for granted! I would like to thank Leanne and Mark for finding this deal, Courtney Madden from the Red Cross in New Jersey for helping us with organizing the shipping end of it, Jerry Davis in NJ for providing the lift, Jon Usinger for supplying the shipping, Gerry at Propack for hooking us up with crating the lift for shipping, and my sister Laurie and nephew Kevin for helping get it shipped to us. You guys have been great they way you have helped us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The way you put it all together was tremendous, and I thank God that he has given us this awesome gift, and put such awesome people in our lives. I'm sorry too if I have forgotten anybody, but just know that we love you.
Well I have got to get to bed now as the days have been wiping me out with all the stuff going on, and even though we sometimes don't post as often as we would like too, know this for sure, not a day goes by that we do not think of all of the people, some that we won't meet until we're in Heaven, that have been there with us through this journey. Whether it's been through prayer, financial giving, or a task that you've taken on. Whether you're a doctor, a lawyer, or a checker at wal-mart, you have been instrumental in my son's rehabilitation. And someday we will all sit around and talk of these times with joy in are hearts, but until that day, I hope that each of you have someone show you the kind of love that you have shown to us. That is my prayer for tonight....

God bless you All
Dennis

Dennis, it touches me that you remain so thankful and appreciative of what you have. It would be easy to be bitter. I'm sure you have your down moments, but your spirit always returns, a little stronger and shining a little brighter, so that more of us can follow you through the darkness.

You and Katie have given each of your kids a solid foundation to grow on. They will all grow and prosper in their own individual ways. They will surprise you in ways that you can't even imagine yet, rest assured.

I'd sure like to see some pictures of Jerry's room when you have a chance.

Love you all and wish you a few extra smiles today.

Your brother, Frank

Dennis,
Thanks for getting on the blog last night. I know you are tired with Katie being out for the count these last few days. Just know we all appreciate your efforts to keep us in the loop.
The weekend will get easier as I am available to help any way I can while Mom is resting.
Katie,
Chicken soup or whatever you want is on it's way.
Jer,
Time to put in your order too. Let me know what you're hankering for and I'll try and whip it up for the Holiday weekend.
Lot's of Love,
Gretch
It's Merorial Weekend and time to remember all of those who have gone before us. Peace and a safe weekend to all.

It is amazing how much support and love you are all receiving from your friends. I know they are helping you through this in many ways and I am very appreciative of that.

I continue to pray for you every night as well as Allie.

Thanks for the laugh! You are in my prayers always.

Hello MacCallister family,
It’s always interesting the little things we take for granted. Like the air temperature. I was reading the update postings since Mother’s Day. Katie you’re a great mom. I was wondering if your house has programmable thermostat. If not I would like to offer to get one for the family. We have one in our house. It’s great; you can program it to go on and off certain times of the day as well as temp. Let me know. Keep posting and I’ll keep reading.

Morning Macs,
Don't know about you, but this weekend we're freezing! The fog is all the way up here in BD and we even torched the extra cardboard to warm the house.

Hope your week was productive and went off without a hitch. We're looking forward graduation here in a few weeks and then summer - whoo-hoo!

Hey Jer, Mary and I saw Terminator, Salvation. So-so flick, loved Star Trek, though. Let us know if you want to hit a flick and we'll go, too. Hope you have a lovely day!

Saw Jerry at the Art & Wine Festival, smiling, and looking happy. He was surrounded by a posse of girls!
Nice smile!

Hi MacCallisters,
Missing your posts but totally understand how busy you all are and with Katie not feeling well, it's tough.
Jerry,
So happy to see you typing and playing Civilization on your computer and how nice to have Isaac home for awhile.
I love it when your old teammates get together. Luke and Torrie should be back from school on the 12th. (only 2 more weeks)and we all are looking forward to that.
I told Luke all of you are going to do the Wharf to Wharf together. Of course it won't be fair, since you have overdrive. Just promise not to run any of the thousands of runners/spectators over. Maybe we can get Mitch, Eric and Chris and even "the little boys" to run with you too.
Praying for you and Allie to maintain high spirits and happy hearts and to keep mending your bodies.
Lots of Love,
Gretchen
